Jesus, Jairus, and the 12-year old
In this moving biblical passage, Jesus took the time to transform the life of a tween. The girl’s dad went to Jesus and said, “Please come home with me, my daughter is dying.” Long story short, Jesus went, and he touched and transformed her life. (Luke 8:40, 8:49-53). Here’s some encouragement for parents, tweens, and teens.
PARENTS
- Mom, Dad - when facing a challenge with your child, like Jairus, ask God to “come home” with you and touch your child or dying situation. (Ask for help with expectation!)
- Believe for the miracle. A miracle or metamorphosis requires an atmosphere of faith.
- As Jesus demonstrated, don’t allow the naysayers (pessimists) to cloud your faith. He didn’t allow them in the room because their energy and expectation were nonexistent.
- Thank God for the outcome!
GIRLS
- God is concerned about every area of your life!
- God has time for you.
- God is your source and has the power to turn your situation around.
- Trust God with your pain, problems, questions, and future and expect God to come home with you and go to school with you!
- Don’t allow social media drama or other drama to determine your worth or rob you of your worth. Know that God is your source of power and success.
